'Vol 1' exists in a musical black hole, created in singular sessions and never revisited. The EP correlates to a very short window of time in which track each was written, recorded and mixed by virtuoso musician and sound engineer Colby Robertson.

Colby crafts an 'indie-slacker' sound, characterising speech-like vocals with bursts of lush harmony. The release feels informal and approachable, a biproduct of Colby's sporadic writing process. The subtlety of 'Vol' is its strength, full of understated earworms with gentle allure.
